COSIMO
COSIMO
Bright, fresh and sparkling clean. 100ml of bold tomato-leaf, verbena, sage, basil, white pepper and printing press green with the tiniest touch of spearmint. Day to night and potently traversing gender.
Inspired by (with some fictional assets) by Cosimo de’ Medici the Italian nobleman, politician, banker and noted patron of the arts in Florence, Italy (my personal treasured inspirational destination). Cosimo’s story is well documented, and not to be retold literally. When reading of his many achievements, I found myself building this fragrance by creating a fictional tale…
Much like Napoleon and his oceanic foraging roses for his Josephine from every continent where roses grew … I imagined Cosimo sailing from Italy to Spain and carefully traversing perilous waters to steal the seeds of the tomato plant to begin Italy’s love affair with this arguable fruit / vegetable. Splicing the vegetal heart with the zest of verbena from the Amalfi Coast… I then imagined capturing the scent of his most documented love affair with money. Wet ink embedded into fiscal papers would flutter around him as he counted and counted… The scent then captures wisps of white pepper as it is ground in pestle and mortar with sage and basil ….
This unique aroma was trialed carefully to five of my most treasured clients and critiqued so passionately it simply made perfect sense in deserving its place as part of the collection, now and forever. Never have I seen such an exciting uptake for one of creations since Kartushya … and with that said, the decision is yours.
