Teasing the stamp-sized receptors in our nose that are trained to detect dangerous odor by being presented with only a few molecules. It seemed all too delicious and enticing a proposition not to explore further. Starting with the centuries most ardent examples of espionage, most significantly the overarching connectivity between East and West. The most intriguing, American-born George Koval, born in Belarus, deceptively reduced Russia’s development time in the race to arms.
The aroma starts by building a dark, peat-like base with Amber Extreme, Birch tar oil, Indonesian Patchouli, and saffron leather notes.
Playing with depth as a key protagonist in this scent, we were massively intrigued by shadow. Shadow holds possibility on both sides of the coin.
There is a purposeful approach to the heart to the aroma. I was deeply inspired by the idea of creating a covert accord. The kind of accord of that was spiked with secrets. We purposely used multiple ingredients in smaller quantities so that they built hushed interest while remaining (almost) singularly undetectable. Powerful discretion. A clandestine meeting of Virginian Cedar-wood and a beautiful Sri Lankan Nutmeg. an extra layer of Russian Birch tar enhancing depth within the depth.
The top notes exclusively focus on Sri Lankan organic black pepper. Singular, decisive, and targeted.
